    Do not buy
Had the stove for 3 1/2 years and the cooling fan went. They wanted $550 to fix it. I did not buy it on Amazon. I paid about $900 for it I agree with another review that the glass top is terrible. My previous glass top was wonderful to clean and it lasted 20 years with no food stuck on it permanently. This one from day one has been a nightmare to clean. I have since learned that you do not buy a stove with front controls because they need A cooling fan so the controls do not overheat. Worst stove ever.

    damaged goods sold as new
The previous review was entered BEFORE I realized that this appliance is damaged goods as reflected on a tag attached to the rear of the appliance (FLOOR MODEL 3 each dings and 3 each scratches). Also there is no S/N reflected on this appliance, therefore I can’t register it for the warranty. There was no indication that this was a floor model when I placed the order. I am requesting re-numeration for this as I paid full price.Thank you patti

    GE slide-in Range
This unit was listed as a slide-in but is not for rolled counter top. I had to buy a trim kit to cover the gaps plus it sticks out about 2.5″ from cabinets. Only way to get it backed up is to cut out the rest of my countertop. If I knew that I would have just bought a free standing unit and saved about $300! It does cook HOT & FAST, more so than my old range. Going to take some getting use to! The method of shipping is a all time low. Shipping company let the range set for 4 days at a terminal without even notifying me to set up a home delivery date! Then it took them another week to get it delivered! Needless to say I’m not happy with sellers choice of shipping company.

    Controls are inconveniently placed.
The controls are, basically IN THE WAY. front controls are fine if the are vertical . These are basically on the surface. Every time I cook, I’m banging on then with saute pans. The glass surface leaves much to be desired as well (maybe all radiant glass tops). Stuff burns on. Even with the special cleaner, it doesn’t come off. Within a week the top was permanently marked and stained. The oven works well. That all sums up to a unit I hate and will replace and sell off asap

First impressions: good overall given the market of junk
This is a basic electric range that also has two self-clean modes (steam and high-heat).It gets dirty…. smudges easily, glass top scratches easily…. so if you are looking for a polished-looking piece of artillery that resists fingerprints and scrapes…. this is not it.My main concerns are:1) the durability of the range top (not to crack)2) the overall build quality (it only has a 1 year warranty)PROS:Two large burners (instead of only 1 or 1½)Stove top burners heat up fairly quicklyEven heat baking in the oven (dual bake)Efficiency of placement of controls in front leaves more room to maneuver pots on top…..and is more convenient than reaching over burnersSimple, quick, punch-in time and temperature (as opposed to scroll-punching)Spacing of the four burners is ideal to maximize usable space on topPerfect sized oven cavity (slightly larger, more maneuverable than the competition)The display shows oven temperature, along the way, as it warms upCONS:Sensitive controls up front are too easy to bump, beep and accidentally turn onThe range easily shows fingerprints and stains everywhere; it is as if this come pre-stained and scratched. The timer beep is ridiculously quiet, only a nearby cat will hear it (and be annoyed)I have not used the self-clean features (2) yet.At this price, if this lasts at least 7 years with no problems, it is a good option (in the current market of phony “sustainability”); there are fewer features to break. Of course, it should be built to last 20 years, like they used to be.This range has an efficient, usable design suitable for ordinary use by a household of 1-4 people. To move this from 3.5-rounds-to-4 stars to 4 actual stars:it needs a glass top with shatterproof durability and that has some genuine smudge/stain resistance …. and a 2 year limited warranty (1 year sounds like junk). For 5 stars, it needs a 10 year warranty, quality to match, like some Maytags.

    do not buy!
This is the worst stove I have ever owned!! I’ve had it 1 year and the large burner stopped working. The temperature controls aren’t accurate and food burns. I am a good Italian cook and need to replace this asap!!

Should be rated a “Best Buy” by Amazon if it isn’t already
Heats evenly across the oven. Digital thermometer allows you to dial in exact temperature you want for your cooking in the oven portion of this stove. Stovetop burners heat up quickly and this cuts cooking time for me. This is an aesthetically beautiful stove to look at and looks sharp in our updated kitchen.
