This stove looks great and functions beautifully
Fantastic. Though my basis for comparison was a simple Kenmore unit we got at a local store, the upgrade is absolutely worth the price, and then some. Takes a little getting used to as the cast iron grates make a big difference, as do the much stronger burners. Oven holds temperatures very well. I do miss the drawer underneath the oven that my old one had, but not enough to cause any regrets overall.

A Professional Range for half the Price
Recently installed our new 30″” range. It looks beautiful and works great. We were especially impressed with the powerful burners. We were debating between a Wolf and this one. So far we are very impressed with the quality and the price.I like the fact that the range top is powder coated black instead of my last range which was stainless. The black does not stain, and if you wipe it down carefully it will stay nice looking for a long time.

Thermostat made of cheap aluminum and warranty does not convey
I bought a house with a new Thor SS range. The thermostat knob post is made of cheap aluminum and broke off within the warranty period. Thor’s warranty requires original proof of purchase and they did not honor it for me. The repair will cost at least $400.

    Great range!
So far so good. It seems to work just fine, and as others have said the burners are no joke! In fact, the only burner issue is that I need LESS flame. The only issue I have to complain about is the back. If you plan to install this flush to a wall, be forewarned that the gas supply line has very little room. Facing the back of the range, the gas input lines are in the lower left.Along with the gas line issue the electrical cord that is attached is not a flush mount version with a right angle to it. This can be easily changed, but I have never bought a range with a straight plug before. It was unexpected. But seriously, a good unit for sure.Edit: it’s been three years. Thing is still awesome. I did need to replace the ignition bar in the oven about 1 year in. I emailed the company and they put me in touch with a service tech. Within minutes we were on the phone and he had one in the mail for me right away. (I’m an avid handy type and this job is in my wheelhouse.)Can’t say enough about how great their customer service was! Very professional and very helpful!Edit #2: Well, it’s now been 6 years. So, I’ve had to change the ignition bar again, but anyone who owns a gas range knows this is a regular maintenance item. I actually bought the replacement on Amazon this time around, but I did buy the exact part number that Thor sent me.Cleaning: I’ve never had a range that cleans up so good after so long. The surface looks new. BUT the burners are looking kinda old and corroded. Still work like the day I installed the range. The back of the unit where the venting is, well it seems to have lost it’s luster. I really can’t get in there to polish between the vent holes, so it is what it is.There is one small detail I don’t like. It seems to be a little short. It is slightly (1/8″) above my butcher block countertops, and over the yeas have dried the countertops out that are next to the range. I condition them every month or so. I plan on replacing them anyway (I did a horrible job on a miter joint, because I was trying to cut with sub-par tools, and now I want to do it better). When I do replace them, I’m going to make some taller feet for the range out of aluminum at my work, so the range is about an inch above the counter. Only gripe of mine.Range is still amazing!

    Faulty Design
We purchased this stove for an investment house. We installed it, and it looked great. It’s a mid range appliance with a high end look. I had to return it. If I could give it a zero star rating I would. The design of the burners is such that you have to hold the knob for 10-30 seconds to keep the flame ignited, and even then it may not stay ignited until the burner has “warmed up”. There is no fix for this faulty design, as the user of the stove, you just have to be patient. Imagine having to wait up to a minute or maybe more to get your coffee started every morning. Unacceptable! The specifications are incorrect on the website as well, it WILL NOT level to a 36″ standard cabinet height. The adjustable legs are too short and the manufacture does not have longer legs. Nice customer service at THOR but seriously flawed products. Buy the BOSCH.

Bake igniter, how to adjust gas burner flame and too much clicking
First some helpful information:1. to adjust the gas flame on range burners – remove the knob for the burner on the front panel and inset a very small screwdriver into the the small hole below the center. There is a small screw hidden at the back of the hole. A slotted screwdriver like the one used to repair eyeglasses can be used to turn the screw which adjusts the flame.2. Replace igniter for oven – if you turn on the oven and nothing happens, check the igniter at the back of the oven just below the gas line. If it does not turn hot and bright to start the flame, it may need to be replaced. You can purchase a generic igniter on Amazon for about $20. The amperage range for the igniter should be 3.3 to 3.6, which is most common.Customer service at THOR seems knowledgeable if you need extra help. The LRG user manual lacks how to tips and help to repair or understand common maintenance problems and issues. Finally, I cannot recommend this range and give it three stars because quality control seems poor. At least in my case. None of my burners were at the right setting, the labels on the front of the stove wore away within a few months, and most importantly, as mentioned by many people’s reviews, the burners do not easily light and stay lit when starting. Way too much clicking.

    Love this Range
My old oven had an electronic display that unexpectedly quit when it was only three years old. After trying to replace and fix it, to no avail, I was looking for something a little more low-tech, and high functioning. I saw the name and, of course, was intrigued by this machine aptly named from the god of Norse mythology. I have had this range for a few months now, and I absolutely love it. It is easy to run, easy to clean, and it continues to work consistently with no problems. I also love using a cast iron grill that I purchased separately on the middle burner. I do like to use the convection fan, but sometimes forget to turn it off because it is so quiet.
