Portable, warming, quiet, and the best cat lure I’ve ever owned
This heater works well, but the best discovery was realizing that this was the stationary sun-beam every cat secretly dreams of. My cats live on the floor in front of this thing.The only con is that it doesn’t seem super amazing at keeping the room at a constant temperature. It uses some algorithm to guess the temp in the room based on the device temp, I guess, but it seems very slow to respond to temp changes, in my experience, which means it never seems to turn off–which my cats love, as well.If that’s not a deal breaker for you, then do your furry family a favor and purchase this as quickly as you can. Thereafter, expect the spot in front of it to almost always be occupied with your tabby or calico purr-ball. Note they will follow it around your home, so if you need to move the cat, move the “sun-beam”, it’s super light.

It keeps my apartment warmer in the Coldest Weather!
I needed a new freestanding heater for my apartment this winter. I live in the Northeast where the rates for electricity and natural gas are ridiculously high no matter if you use a little or a lot of energy.It has been extra cold; down in the single digits and teens this year and this heater has kept our apartment a LOT warmer than the heater we used before.I like the feature of controlling with WiFi on the phone app! It is very convenient!It makes no noise at all! And hopefully it will work for several years to come!

Radiant heat is the way to go if you are using an electric portable room heater
This is the second radiant room heater that I have purchased from Bellu & I am very impressed.* Radiant heaters don’t have blowers so they don’t make any noise.* It takes a little longer but they do fill up the room with heat. In fact, the heat feels more consistent and everywhere as opposed to blower heaters where you feel warmth when you feel the wind from the heater but there are always cold spots where the blower doesn’t reach.* you can free stand them with the included roller feet or you can mount them to a wall. If mounted to a wall, they are very thin & unobtrusive.* Web controllable. Being able to control with an app is huge. Especially if you have multiple heaters as you can create scenes to control temp, time of day & on & off remotely. It makes it much easier to keep a room comfortable but turn them down or off if you aren’t there. You can also have it heat up a space remotely before you get home.The biggest downside that I have seen is that they lose their effectiveness at around freezing outside. If it gets down to below 30 degrees F, they lose their ability to hold a room temp pretty quickly, although I’m sure that how well the room is insulated plays a huge part as well. I’m using mine in a garage office that doesn’t have the best insulation and a big window.

Thermometer and App issues
Ballu Mica Infrared Space Heater Several issues with the Smart Life app: 1) Does not show the ambient temp when the heater is off. This is just basic and a real oversight. Of course you want the ambient temp to show regardless of the unit being on or off. 2) Why the note in the app: âAlgorithm temp (not room temp)â ? Too clever by half- just give us the actual temperature at the sensor, we don’t need an ‘algorithm’ This is just dumb – trying to be smart. Not impressed. 3) Inaccurate thermometer!!! To test, I put two other thermometers (which both agree with each other) next to the Ballu sensor but the Ballu sensor is 5 to 7 degrees F off. For a 200$ unit, one should expect an accurate thermometer. If this has something to do with the ‘algorithm’ then all I can say is – seriously? wtf.That said, unit heats well and looks good.

Jâai acheté ce chauffage électrique pour mon sous-sol en ciment non-terminé comme atelier artistique de peinture et dâartisanat que je me suis installée! Il fonctionne tel que décrit! Sa base ne semble pas surchauffée puisquâil y a environ 6 pouces de haut sur ses patins lors les déplacements de ce système chauffage dâappoint! Pas de senteur désagréable pour sa première fois où il nous conseille de lâutiliser à sa pleine capacité à 30C, pendant quelques minutes que je juge inutile dans mon cas! La grandeur de mon sous-sol mesure 25 X35 pieds ce qui semblerait suffisant, mais je crois devoir en acheter un autre pour mieux chauffer cet endroit humide et extrêmement froid sans lâutilisation de mon chauffage à lâhuile que lâon tente dâéconomiser les coûts excessifs par les temps qui court vers une forme dâénergie plus propre! Jâaime lâindicateur pour lâajuster à la main ou avec sa paget de contrôle! On peut lâutiliser sur notre téléphone bluetooth, mais je nâaime pas bcp cela, avec lâexpérience que jâen ai avec ma petite tour dans ma chambre et quâil faut veiller constamment pour la surchauffe éventuelle dâun système Govee qui a été rappelé depuis le 7 novembre dernier pour danger de feu! Câest peut-être différent avec celui-ci, mais je demeure sans doute craintive, car je débranche le tout après usage, lorsque je remonte en haut pour me sécuriser contre le feu ð¥! Comme déjà dit, celui-ci est peut-être plus sécuritaire, je verrai avec lâexpérience de son utilisation, mais je crains encore, étant donné quâil est seulement un chauffage dâappoint!
