Its a very good cooktop for $700
For $700 I think this 36 inch wide cooktop is an excellent value. Its not a high end, super fancy cooktop, its a basic cooktop. It has one large burner in the middle, one med/large burner front/right, two med burners on left and one small burner back/right. The stainless deck is not especially thick metal so the unit feels a little on the cheap side when you go to install it, but its perfectly adequate. Now the grates on the other hand are super beefy and give the unit a high quality look. All 5 ignitors worked and all the burners have adequate control range from full blast down to simmer. It comes with a new pressure regulator valve and its factory jetting for natural gas (and includes propane jets). My original gas flex hose fit fine. Overall I’m very happy with the purchase.Now the installation was another story. My old cooktop was a 36″ Dacor, it lifted out easily enough. However I soon discovered that although the counter top cut out width (left to right) was OK, the front to back depth was too narrow by about 1/8 of an inch. Not only that neither the front nor back cut out was straight. This was the fault of whoever built my house 30 years ago, not the cooktop’s fault. It took me about 2.5 hours using a rasp to remove enough of the plywood and tile grout to allow it to drop in. I must have lifted it in and out a dozen times, each time removing a little more plywood and grout, etc to get this unit to fit, but it fits perfectly now.

Just installed it but absolutely love it so far.
This thing is legit, super nice and high quality. Easy install. I had to buy a 3/8″ elbo and a 6 inch extension to get the regulator towards the back of the unit a little farther since I had drawers that would hit it if it stuck straight down like it would have if I had not bought the parts to move it. Other then that all that was needed was with the unit including propane conversion kit which worked perfect. All and all it took me about an hour to install it. Works as expected and looks better then expected. Buy this unit and be happy.

Well designed and built cooktop.
We purchased this cooktop when our 30 year year old model had reached itâs end. The Frigidaire is very well made, everything is metal or cast iron. The burners have every size one would need. The flames are the perfect size for whatever you need to heat or cook. The flames are easily controlled and the simmer option works perfectly for each burner. Very,very easy to clean.

Sleek, Modern and Functional
Sleek and modern looking. The burners are fairly easy to clean. However, liquid got in under the knobs and was a nightmare to clean!!! For that reason I give it 4 stars. I also wish there were more large burners.One time we had a constant clicking from the spark on the burners, but after watching a youtube video, I was able to fix it so hopefully it will not be a recurrent issue.Overall, for the price, a great stove top and we’re pleased. We cook a lot and wanted gas. My husband switched out our electric stove, and this one has been a huge improvement!

Easy to install and looks great
I purchased this unit to replace older Kenmore unit that was thinner but heavier. This unit was much lighter and which made the install a breeze. Only issue I had was that the wooden support underneath was touching the bottom of the new range and had to shave off 1/2 inch before I could seat it properly. That was the hardest part of the install. Once installed, everything looked cook. I also like the location of the control know at the slanted front edge which keeps them away from all those oil splash and heat.

Do not purchase!
I thought this would be a nice addition to our remodeled kitchen. However, upon inspection, it became obvious that the quality just wasnât what we had hoped for. Okay, letâs return it. Wrong! The sellers do not accept returns! Once you buy it, you own it. You better be certain you want it when you buy from this company. In all my years of buying from Amazon, I have never come across this kind of policy. It’s important to see this product in person before you buy from this company.
