    Total package!
This is a very nice higher end unit compared to some others available on Amazon! Looks, feels, fits and operates perfect so far! Straight forward install with some electrical knowledge! Unit came right on and started heating instantly! Connected to WiFi and app download was seemless! Thermostat calibration was definitely needed because from factory it was reading about 10deg different from ambient room temp now it’s much closer like 2-3deg different! Keep in mind it’s ceiling mounted!! Heat rises! I would def recommended for a supplemental heat source! My garage is an insulated 20×20 (400sf) 8ft ceiling space with r15 insulated doors! This thing has no issues warming it up within 15min! So now let’s see how long it last’s 🤞

    Good workshop heater
Works great so far in my detached garage/workshop. Heated it up nicely to a workable temp. A nice surprise was the external thermostat that comes with it as I didn’t see it listed in the features when I bought it. Its much more accurate than the thermostat that’s built into the unit. Can’t wait to get back to my projects in the winter time.

    Performed way better than expected.
I bought this heater to try and thaw out an in floor heat system in a 24×28 garage in in Northern Minnesota. I needed to compete with temps ranging from -30 to highs of -14. The garage is fairly well insulated, but as the sole heat source I did not expect a 6000 watt heater to do more that raise the temps a bit, and hopefully above freezing. All the documentation claimed I needed at minimum a 7500 watt heater, and preferably a 15000 watt. This 6000 Heat Storm Garage heater had the space up to 72 degrees in a mater of a few hours. I looked at all the Chinese manufactured cube heaters and all had complaints about product failures, no repair parts, and worthless customer service. I can’t speak to the longevity of this heater yet, but the only objection I have so far is the promoted Wifi feature. The documentation says you must have a 2.4hz network for it to work. I have a combination 2.4/5 wifi network and this device won’t talk to it. The claim is I need to rework my stable network and split out a 2.4 and a 5 as separate networks, but that means reconnecting everything I currently have on my existing network, and some of those things are already touchy. So I guess I won’t be using the wifi feature until I can spare the time to rework not only my network, but all the devices I already have working with the combined network.

The review I wish I had before purchasing
“It looks great and heats up to 99 degrees. My room is 400 square feet with drywall and insulation, and it heats the room from 60 degrees to 74 in about an hour and 30 minutes. It starts to really warm up after 3 hours, reaching about 84 degrees, which is the hottest I’ve seen. After 3 hours at 84 degrees, there are still cold spots in the room, but it’s definitely a lot better. If you want something to take the chill out, this definitely works. I wanted something to get it to 85 degrees faster. I’m probably going to return it. But it works great; standing in front of it, you can feel the heat blowing.”

    I’m satisfied
The unit works well and was relatively easy to install for two people working together. I’m using it to heat a well insulated, detached, work shop 24′ x 32′ with 10′ ceiling. Because stratification is a problem and the fan is not super powerful, I’ve set a box fan on a milk crate aimed straight up on the floor under the Heat Storm. This keeps the internal thermostat with a couple of degrees F of a wall mounted thermometer. Without the box fan, the internal thermostat would register 10 to 15 degrees higher than the than the wall thermometer. But this is to be expected when the unit is installed 8′ above the floor. The unit is enabled for an external thermostat, but I haven’t been able to find one.The WiFi feature was easily set up and I like being able to warm up the shop during my hour long commute from work.

    Heats 1100 sq ft garage!
I installed this in my 1100 sq ft garage and it works great! It’s basically a secondary heat source because the water heater and furnace are both in the garage and usually keeps in in the 40’s or above even when it’s single digits outside. This heater will take it up to 70 when it’s 8 degrees outside. Downsides. You have to put another fan under it to disperse the heat away from the unit, the ambient temp sender on the unit is inaccurate and will shut the unit off too quickly. A remote sensor would be a great improvement to this unit but it’s not available from the manufacturer. Other than that it’s been a nice improvement for my garage.

Buyer beware – Good heater – very bad thermostat design
O love the size and features of this heater. It has great heat output and great options. The reason for the low rating is that the bad design of the internal thermostat. The heater comes on when the room temperature is 1 to 2 degrees below the desired set temperature and turn off when the room temp is about 1 or 2 degrees above the desired setting. What this means is that the heater turns off and on cold days right back on in about 30 secs. Cycling on, off, on, off all night. I called support at Heat Storm and they said that is a known issue and cannot be adjusted.

    Best purchase this year
100% recommend. Replaced my old garage heater with this one. I’ve been looking for a heater with a scheduling feature, and this heater has that and more. Setup was easy, from wiring to Wi-Fi, no issues. It is much quieter than my old unit, but probably too loud to be used anywhere other than a garage, shed, or workshop. Heats up my 24’x24’ (576 sq ft) garage pretty quick. I measured it this morning with the following results:Set heater to 70F on “Auto” and ran for 60 minutes.Outside Temperature: 35FGarage Starting Temp: 56FTemp After 30 minutes: 62FTemp After 60 minutes: 69F
