Worked perfect out of the box and very attractive.
The ease of installation was very helpful and full functionability was a pleasant surprise.. We very much like the appearance in or kitchen. It a new learning experience cooking on gas vs our old electric but we are not having any problems learning and are so happy how fast it heats up.

Can not simmer anything
Looks pretty. Cannot simmer or slow cook anything. None of the burners put out a low enough flame to simmer milk, pudding, fudge,etc. The cast iron grid across the top is easy to remove for cleaning, although heavy. The pots and pans do tip over due to the “gaps” between the grid desitgn. Must be careful to center pans directly over the flame. , otherwise you have nasty spills.Disappointed, but stuck with it.

Excellent gas cooktop!
Update #2: (6 months of use ) Still very satisfied with cooking performance but disappointed the dial markings are already rubbing off, even with very gentle cleaning. Update #1: I’ve used the cooktop a great deal more over the last couple of months and remain very satisfied. # I searched for a while to find a 30″ gas cooktop with five burners for my kitchen renovation that placed the cooktop into a center island. In particular, I wanted one shallow enough to permit use of the top drawer of the base cabinet Also, I wanted a large center burner and continuous grate design that minimized the risk of tipping pots. I was not familiar with the Thermomate brand, but liked the look and specs of this model. I’ve had it installed now for about a month and love it. It lights quickly and the burners provide the power I need while operating smoothly. We did have to alter the back corner of the drawer as the gas connection interfered with the drawer closing at the very back, but a small cut-out solved it and did not sacrifice much drawer space. I highly recommend this model, it looks great and operates perfectly. I like it much better than my previous Ancona model purchased from Costco. The grate design is superior and it lights much faster.

The markings around the dials wore off quickly which was disappointing. It scratches easily too.
