Update 3/24/25After reaching out to the seller, they were able to remedy a solution that has made me a happy customer. Based on my experience with the great customer service from the seller, I am a satisfied customer and will recommend to buy this vent.Edit update.After few days of use, the hood started to make sharp noise. Looked to see if there is anything rubbing against the fans, there is nothing. The filters are suppose to be dishwasher safe but they are not, they are disclored after just 1 wash. Amazon won’t help because 3 days over the return window and no way to contact the seller. This is a terrible buy!Best purchase I made. Though this was a bit more expensive then others on here that are also 700 cfm and digital with remote. It has been doing its job.It was not the easiest thing to install because I did this for the first time. Im sure a pro can do it in an hour where it took me a whole day.Just a tip, to use proper longer wood screws with wider caps because the screw openings will bend as it a bit heavy.

Smart and Well Designed. Some Rushing Air Noise
This is very attractive and smart cooker hood from GELINCARE. The outer box is made from brushed stainless steel which is cleanly finished off this crisp edges and corners. It is tidy at the edges with no sharpness that I could feel. The satin finish is fresh and clean looking. It still had traces of the protective film. I will leave that on until installation.The whole unit is basically a symmetrical box with a fan on each side sucking vertically. Each fan is about 9 inches in diameter and definitely big enough for the job. They are a bit noisy though – even on the low setting. Not mechanical noise but just the sound rushing air. There is a lot of air that is having to squeeze past edges and corners so I suppose there is a lot of turbulence going on. Difficult to keep it quiet. The air from the fans emerges at the top through a 6 inch vent with valve flaps on it to prevent blow back I presume. The controls are simple. One switch for the two lights underneath as well as fast, medium and slow buttons for switching on the fan plus an OFF button on the right.There is a captive mains cable at the top right hand back edge with a molded on NEMA 5-15P plug on it. There are many keyholes for screw mounting both at the top and the back. They provide a cardboard template for helping with layout, which is a nice touch.I like this design because it is simple and well made. Venting our kitchen is going to be a pain because the range is not on a outside wall. Even if you don’t use the fan the lights will be handy for viewing the cooking surface better.

I am in the midst of both saving for remodeling my old and dingy kitchen, and collecting items to use in the new one, so when I saw this Gelincare 30 inch stainless steel range hood, I was thrilled, and ordered it immediately! My old hood is one of those that is NOT ducted to the outside, and does a very poor job of both taking care of cooking odors as well as grease in the air which ends up on the cabinets and even the ceiling fan! When I got this fan, it was very well packaged and had no blemishes to the finish. Since it plugs in to your electrical source by your range, I was able to test it and was very satisfied with the simplicity of use for this unit. Having that two piece filter system, also in stainless steel, makes it extremely easy to clean either by hand or in the dishwasher, and it will be a pleasure to use in my new kitchen! I am VERY pleased with my purchase!

Exhaust Fan for above stove
Exhaust fan for above the stove. This exhaust is heavy! It took 3 of us to lift it & hold it in place while trying to screw it in. 1. Clear your counters off. 2. Move stove out of the way. Other then those two things we didn’t have much issues. The unit is at a slope. It tilts upward some. It is suppose to be angled. Watch the insulation video. The instructions are vague. We did have trouble finding a pipe to fit the unit into the duct work. There were no dents. The light is not super bright. It could actually be way bright. It is like a night light. The exhaust fan is loud but works! It looks great! It is nicely made. Very sturdy. The filters come out easily. Our main issue was not moving stove out. & we could of had an extra set of hands. The unit is heavy! We installed it Aug 4th. Been using it for 2 months. Working great. Totally changed the look of my kitchen. We had to put new backslash in. Hubby did the above cabinetry to close in the pipes.
