Great High Quality Range Vent
Found this searching for a stainless range vent with all digital touch controls. This high quality range vent will make any kitchen look great, especially those with matching stainless appliances. It provides great illumination of the entire range area and the bright LED clock provides a night light effect in a dark kitchen with the unit powered off. It has a strong fan with 3 speeds and we typically use the lowest/quietest speed to completely rid the range area of cooking smells. Another great benefit is the well-thought out, planned maintenance as it includes very nice removable/washable filters and a catch container for the motor.It’s also very easy to install- just be sure to use at least 5 anchors (many extra are included). After all measurements, use 3 anchors on the top main mounting bracket and 2 on the lower holes behind the fan motor. I’d suggest starting with a drywall screw on both lower ones as I got lucky on the first one and hit a stud. The lower anchors/screws will prevent the unit from being lifted off the top bracket hooks if it’s accidentally bumped from below, e.g. taller person leaning over to clean the range and bangs their head, etc.

Quick shipping , perfectly packaged ,Very easy to install .We removed the microwave and the cabinets that were above it and install this hood, it was a perfect size .Its solid and looks expensive, gave our kitchen a facelift . Its not loud like most hood .Very happy with the product , worth every penny.

Weâve had our Cosmo Range Vent for nearly a month and, overall, are happy with our purchase. As others have mentioned, the installation instructions need improvement. Iâm pretty handy when it comes to home improvement, so some common sense enabled me to figure a few confusing things out. However, a novice may have some trouble.The fan itself is a product of China. We selected ours because the price fit into our budget for our kitchen remodel. I can tell that this product is a bit more cheaply made than some of the other name brands that we looked into when shopping in the stores. Time will tell how well it holds up.The unit looks very nice and the electronic controls and display are great. The fan has three speeds. My wife tends to use the medium speed mostly because high speed is quite loud, though it seems to work very well. Cleaning the unit, inside and out, is a breeze. The unit also comes with lights, which we donât normally use, and a timer that you can set that will automatically turn off the fan.Installation wasnât too difficult. I recommend an extra set of hands while mounting the main unit and I also suggest purchasing better wall mounting anchors than what are supplied with the unit. Getting the electrical receptacle positioned where it doesnât interfere with the vent pipe may be a little tricky if you are venting outside.In general, Iâd probably recommend this product if youâre looking for something nice that will save a few bucks.

Manufacturing Defect – Burr Scratched Inner Chimney Cover – Won’t Send Replacement
I’m giving it 1 Star because their customer service is great before you purchase, but terrible after you purchase and the manufacturing quality on the stainless steel chimneys is poor. This item was delivered in early April, but not installed until ~ May 26. While pulling the inner chimney cover up to the ceiling to attached it to the upper wall bracket, the inner chimney cover has 2 scratches on the front (each about 1 inch from the side) due to a burr on the inside of the outer chimney cover. They will not send me a replacement, because it was more than 30 days since I purchased it. If someone is doing a major kitchen renovation, it’s difficult to purchase everything the day before you are going to install it. Very unhappy with their rule. I don’t see this rule advertised. I only see the 5 year warranty advertised. Oh yeh, the 4 screws that attach the outer chimney cover to the main unit were almost impossible to get in. I had to open up the hole a hair with a drill. The screws are made of such a low strength material, they would not “self tap” into the rear of the main unit. The booklet needs updated to match the hardware provided. They give directions to hang the unit on 3 screws coming out of the wall. Actually, they now have a plate that you mount to the wall which the main unit hangs on. Seems silly they can’t update the clock from military time. If I would have purchased it closer to the install date, then they would have sent both to me. It sounds like they get this complaint about the scratches alot.

Oven range hood
I love this hood. It adds to the aesthetic of our kitchen. Glass adds a touch of sophistication and goes well with the backsplash and the whole decor. The fan motor is a little loud but the light makes up for it. It is wide but adjustments were made in installing to accommodate the size of the top. It has digital touch feel controls. We made a good choice. Finally, there are no extra vents and comes with an oil collector for easy cleaning.

The range hood is noisy. Overall it works as advertised and looks lovely in the kitchen.Be aware, that the instruction book is incorrect regarding changing the time. I had a power failure and tried to do it as the booklet said, and all it did was make the fan go higher or lower. Instead I decided to figure it out without the book. Use the up and down symbols to change the time.

Avant de me procurer ce produit, comme tout le monde, j ai été voir les évaluations. Plusieurs mentionnent le manque d aspiration ainsi que le niveau de bruit. Pour l aspiration, cet appareil le fait très bien. Ceux qui disent que l aspiration n est pas adéquate doivent avoir trop long de conduit et/ou trop de coudes ou bien un clapet anti retour défectueux. Plus le conduit est long et plus il y a de coudes, moins vous aurez de débit. Note: je suis un retraité du domaine de la ventilation ( 40 ans d expérience ). Pour ce qui est du bruit, eh bien sachez qu’ il est impossible d avoir un très bas niveau de bruit et une forte aspiration, le ventilateur étant juste au dessus de la grille. Pour ma part, je trouve que le bruit est parfaitement acceptable. Il y a des ventilateurs avec les mêmes caractéristiques au DOUBLE du prix alors à $400 Canadien, je vous recommande cet item sans aucune hésitation.
