Heater defective out of the box
This Dimplex heater proved defective out of the box. It was installed by an electrician and one of the two elements/bulbs immediately burnt out/broke. He said it was dangerous to operate with the defective element and cut off the power. We tried to return to Amazon third party shipper VirVentures (avoid!), who told us they would not accept a return because the heater has already been installed. There is no way to test the heater to see if it works until it is installed! They offered a $70 rebate on a $1,000 heater. They also recommended calling Dimplex directly. Firstly, Dimplex does not cover elements in their one year limited warranty. Second, when just trying to purchase a replacement element, Dimplex has none available and wonât put us on a back order because they have no timeline for a replacement to be available. Basically we will lose $1,000 on the heater because it was defective out of the box. Donât risk it, and recommend staying away from both Dimplex and VirVentures.

Donât do it !!
I bought FOUR of these from Loweâs originally. Over $800 apiece. Didnât even give me 100 hours of heat and started making a beeping noise. Then it progressed to an on and off syncing light with the beeping noise which was two different noises. Then it quit! I spent well over, $6000 for the heaters and then having them installed by an electrician.I repeat, donât do it, itâs a nightmare. When I called the company and told them about the beeping, they told me âoh, weâve heard about that you just need to replace it.â My response was⦠I havenât even had these on for 10 hours, and I paid well over $800 for them, thereâs no way Iâm going to Replace it.Then the unit just quit working⦠I still have three of the original heaters left. They beep on and off and donât quit. It is so annoying. You have to turn it off at the circuit breaker. Just donât do it! A complete waste of money.Had my contractor not died, these would have been installed within their one-year warranty, but they werenât and now I am paying the price for not having them installed shortly after I purchased them
