Perfect for room over garage
I ordered this wall heater with the idea that I’d use it in one of two places, either a very large master bathroom (someday I’d like heated floors in there), or a finished guest room over the garage which does have an in-wall heating unit but it’s very loud. We decided on the guest room. It’s only used occasionally. What works best for us is to turn on the noisier built-in heating for about an hour to bring the cold room up to a comfortable temperature. Then we turn on this radiant heater to silently keep the room comfortable. It is working very well for that purpose and it’s completely silent, so our guest was able to sleep much more soundly. It’s a pretty straightforward install. I like it.

Solid heating option, but a bit niche. Let’s chat.
For such a simple item, there’s an interesting conversation that can be had in its regard.First off, let’s get the function of it out of the way. It works and works well. It does exactly what you would think, and it is indeed, quite unique. A large, flat vertical hot-plate in one sense, though of course, with heat enough to warm, not to cook. It heats up quickly, with what I found about 170f as a top surface temp. With its broad surface area, it’ll saturate an area fairly quickly, especially if you have some other alternative tool in the room for moving the air about. Transferring the air across the plate is really the best way for full and effective use, and it doesn’t take much. A small fan just pushing air generally about will help, even as simple radiation will still get the job done in enough time.It comes with a plug-in thermostat, and really it’s a must use. Without it, you have essentially an “always-on” heater, not ideal. From a functional standpoint, once again, it works very well. I mean, in the end, it’s a simple switching mechanism with a temp gauge. While it’s not rocket science, it still works very well as a thermostat.I think my ultimate conclusion on this item, as I stated in the title, is that it’s pretty niche. You might love the concept. It’s like a large, white portrait you hang on the wall. Yet, that’s where I find it defeating itself. It’s a large, white wall. Loud. Brash. It’s like it’s begging for some cover. Some decor. Something, anything, to help break up all of that white.I kept trying to figure out where and how I best want to use this item. I have a front porch that was converted and is not on the hvac system. It was for this room that I ordered this item. At the same time, it’s big and it’s all white. At 170f, while I won’t burn anything down, I also don’t want things leaning against it. So, I want a 6″ gap between it and say, a couch I would put in front of it. That’s the best case for me.Otherwise, I think it’ll do great in less deco spaces, like a garage or hobby room. At 170f, I definitely don’t want kiddo hands leaning against it. It’s hot enough to sting, so it’s not kid friendly. Like I said, it’s a unique item that requires some vision and a right space.I hope this bit of feedback helps you decide if it’s right for you.

Looks like a whiteboard, doesn’t radiate as much as you’d think
Good heater but the 4′ x 2′ version looks a lot like a whiteboard. I thought I’d put this on my garage or attic ceiling to heat up the space but it doesn’t radiate as much as you would think it would. Maybe if I left it on for a while it would heat up the space but I wanted it for the entrance, to feel some warmth upon entering. Since it doesn’t radiate enough to have it safely far enough away, I’m not sure where’ I’m going to put this unit. It does heat up quickly and I tried it in a smaller 8x6x9 room and it worked well in there. I haven’t used the thermostat functionality so I can’t comment on that. Overall it’s a good heater but it’s size and “whiteboard-esque” looks make it a bit of an odd product.

A Wall of Heat
This Infrared Wall Heater is an excellent choice for those seeking efficient, quiet, and space-saving heating solutions for small to medium-sized spaces. Its sleek design and overheat protection make it safe and practical, while its fanless operation caters to allergy sufferers or noise-sensitive users. While it may not be ideal for very large rooms or those requiring precise temperature control without an external thermostat, its performance and affordability make it a solid investment for most households. Proper mounting is necessary for optimal performance; improper placement can reduce efficiency. May require regular cleaning or adjustments to maintain effectiveness. As with many new heaters, users might experience a mild odor during initial use, which dissipates after a few days.

slim and light, provides heat quickly
While I haven’t mounted this to a wall yet (I can’t decide what room I want it in) this heater is quick to heat up, and more energy efficient than other space heaters. When we first plugged it in, we could feel the heat in less than a minute. This is very light weight, fairly thin, and looks a little bit like a whiteboard. While this won’t be what I use to heat my garage in the winter (it’s 11 degrees now), it might help my basement room that is 20-10 ft stay warmer for cheaper.Just a note that the box it came in had a strong funky smell, but the heater doesn’t smell by itself or when it is heating. One of the odd things is that the thermostat is actually a plug in wall unit that you plug the heater into. it has the settings to determine the temperature and cut off the supply of electricity to the heater. But if you plugged the heater directly into the wall, I guess it would never shut off. So the plug in thermostat is a pretty important part of the heater. If you don’t like the way it uses up a wall plug, you may not like this unit.
