    I DON’T LOVE IT ANYMORE ! ! !
When I first got this LG refrigerator, I liked it,BUT, Now it’s costing me a lot more money, because IT’S FREEZING MY PRODUCE,and I have to THROW IT AWAY ! ! ! Which is costing me a FORTUNE ! ! Now I AM SO SORRY I BOUGHT IT ! To make matters worse, this so called wonderful company ( I mean that sarcastically ) Has not fixed the problem yet AND they WON’T REFUND ME for ALL the WASTED FOOD I HAD TO THROW AWAY since last Oct. of 24. If there was a way I could get rid of this food freezing machine I WOULD !!! But now I’m stuck with it,and I am going to do everything I can to make them fix it and pay me for ALL the FOOD I’ve had to throw in the GARBAGE ! ! I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this LG refrigerator. So much for LG being a great company, that’s a JOKE ! ! ! Do NOT BUY THIS

    Good at keeping food cold
I purchased the product (Fridge) elsewhere, exact same model.Pros: It works well, the items in the back of the fridge are at the same chilled level as those in the doors. The layout is well designed for the way we use a refrigerator and freezer (the bottom drawer holds more than one large turkey if that matters to you). The controls for the refrigerator are on the door, and some are in the app. There is a lockout for the water and ice dispensing. There is also room to fit a pitcher and tall glasses into the dispenser.Cons: Opening the doors with their opening both sides is an issue depending on the layout of your kitchen. For us, the right door goes up against a wall that comes out far enough to impact how wide that door can open. The refrigerator fits fine into the space, this is just an issue with the way the two doors open in the middle of the fridge. Our old fridge that opened on the side (top freezer model) and was 10 cubic foot smaller had the same issue with that wall. The thing is, our kitchen design is a standard design (I am thinking it’s time to remove that wall). The lockouts work for the dispenser but not for the controls. We have a fairly innovative kitten when it comes to things. Let’s just say that waking up to the freezer no longer set to 0 degrees, but instead to -8 degrees, and the refrigerator no longer set to 40 degrees but to 48 degrees had me setting up an interior surveillance camera, and now wishing we had full lockouts after watching how the kitten was doing it. Same for the LG model range, the lock outs do not do enough when it comes to this kitten. The other issue is delivery. I’d measured the doorway and all spaces involving bringing in the refrigerator. I paid for delivery knowing there are issues in how a refrigerator is handled. I was prepared when the delivery folks arrived, looked at the door and said they couldn’t deliver it. I said, flatly, I had measured, and they could. I proceeded to remove the storm door, front door, and all latchings from the frame. It barely fit through sideways with the doors removed. The issue are the drawer brackets stick out over an inch out. Those made it almost not work, and were not included in any measurements I found online.Once past that point, the delivery went fine, the doors went back on no issue. My feeling is all refrigerators are overpriced for what they do. But, this one is doing the job well. And, I’m glad to have opted for this model. I may well purchase the extended warranty from LG for this and the dishwasher if possible. Not sure if I’d concern myself that way on the stove, but both the dishwasher and refrigerator use the wifi and app. Simply, there is more that can go wrong with them than I’d want to deal with personally.

    Okay
The refrigerator itself is fine and I am happy with it, however it was damaged (cosmetic) on delivery. The company advised that I can accept it as is, and they will file a claim and I would get a discount. This is the route I took as again, the damage was cosmetic. After delivery, I was told I would be called within 48 hours to discuss the discount amount. I received no such call. I called them ultimately and was told to handle it through Amazon. Ended up getting a $75 refund.

    LG Sucks
My LMX28988ST /04 broke down (purchased Oct 2012). According to the owner’s manual parts are covered for seven years and the compressor for ten but not the labor. At first, I called several local repair shops, and all declined to work on it because they were not authorized LG repair shops. I then decided to call LG’s 1-800 number. The lady at LG told me to contact Sears Repair for service. Sears were booked solid and I had to wait around 10 days for an appointment. Finally, the day came, and I was told by the Sears repairman that they are not authorized to do LG warranty work. In any case he did the diagnosis and said my compressor, condenser and dryer were bad. The estimate came out to over a thousand dollars and Sears would need to contact LG before any work could be done or I could pay the full amount and try to get reimbursed for the parts than came under warranty. The repairman charged me $99 plus tax for the house call. He gave me a 10% coupon and told me I could recover my house call bill by buying a new refrigerator from Sears that cost a $1000 and up.I contacted LG again and “Nick” at LG told me Air Tech Hawaii does the warranty work in Hawaii. Why wasn’t I told about that in the first place. Being the frig initially cost me over $2,500 on sale from the NEX (Navy Exchange), I decided to pay the flat rate of $535 plus $25.21 to have it fix. According to Air Tech Hawaii, Sears took a swag (scientific wild ass guess) and diagnose that both the compressor and condenser were at fault. Air Hawaii added a valve to attach test gauges to determine the problem. Turns out the condenser was still working. Unless it was leaking, it would not be covered. No matter how much I presented my case, LG would not reimburse me for their misdirected service call. I own a couple large LG TV and an electric range but never again. “Buyer Beware” a large corporation like LG would be stingy about 100 bucks. My beef was all about the “principal.”
