Kept Us Warm This Winter
We are pleased with this propane Mr. Heater with the ceramic elements. We had one previously that had an open flame and the offgassing gave me headaches and made me feel lethargic. At first I did not realize it was the propane that was causing this problem, but then I began to notice when I went outside in the fresh air I was back to my normal self. Apparently some people are more sensitive than others to the offgassing. Happily the rest of the family didnât seem to be bothered by it. This ceramic Mr. Heater is much less problematic for me as I assume the offgassing is not as much as it was with the open flame heater. Regardless if you are sensitive to the offgassing or not, I recommend anyone who uses these types of heaters to get in the habit of opening the windows now and again to let in a lot of fresh air which is a good thing to do in general winter or otherwise. The heater kept our entire older little two story house adequately warm the whole winter even when the temperatures got down below zero. If you have children, you need to know that if you stand too close to it, the heat can be very intense. We had to keep an eye on our children and remind them not to get too close to it. It was efficient enough for our size of home that we used it as our primary source of heat. As a safety precaution we always shut it off completely if we leave the house for any length of time and rely on a more traditional furnace to keep the temperature adequately warm while we are gone. We found that our large older furnace was actually not as efficient as this much smaller wall mount heater. We are happy we bought this.

Absolutely worth it!
This thing blew me away with how good it is. I generally donât write reviews on Amazon, but this thing deserves it. The level of heat output is insane. It makes my electric heaters just look like actual trash in comparison.At first I was very skeptical because of some of the other negative reviews, but I suspect (obviously no way of knowing) that they didnât use the appropriate propane regulator and attachments. Additionally, proper usage of insulation tape is a must. As long as you set it up correctly and safely you should be fine.Obviously donât leave it running unattended. Itâs still an open flame. Use common sense. It EASILY warms my entire house (~1000 sqft) to 70 degrees despite it being 20 degrees outside (and my house has crap level of insulation).Worth every penny to buy it and the associated stuff to get it running properly and safely.

Heats my whole house.
I love this. No problems. But no glass on front so may not be good with small children. It’s quieter than my last one and it’s built sturdy. Great for its price.

Works good with no problems however it will require repair or replacement after 7 years.
i have problems with the battery powered sparker that lights the pilot light at 7 years old. theres no way to light it with a match or lighter. so it will have to be repaired or replaced at 7 years. i only burn about 400 gallons a year since i live in a mild winter area. im old 61 and am used to having a gas space heater last for decades. those days are long gone im afraid. its light and made with very flimsy metal. its attractive enough. i bought the blower fan feature and the floor feet feature. i highly recommend getting the blower fan add on feature i feel that it makes it much more efficient and heats more area.

IF YOU LACK EXCITEMENT OR WANT TO DIE, BUY THIS HEATER
It’s 4:13 AM Sunday, I can’t sleep. My Mr. Heater Corporation F299830 Vent-Free 30,000 BTU Radiant Propane Heater just woke me up. It’s my fault, I thought a bomb or grenade went off a few feet away and it scared the “you know” out of me. I should have expected it. The first one I bought did the same thing. The company replaced it and the replacement has done the same thing prior to tonight, but it was during the daytime so I just sprang to the heater and turned it off. In the dark of night and having been sound asleep the trip to the heater took longer and my wits were not as quickly and easily accessed. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times ain’t gonna happen. I will request a quick and full return of my money not well spent. If not, they will hear from me again, and again, and again.Stoopid me. Oh, I wonder if they did that so they aren’t legally liable for damages when there is a fire caused by their heater when you ain’t there with it.Customer service is terrible, after I asked for a refund they ignore my emails and phone calls. The furnace went out and I installed this as a backup heat source. Hooked it up to the main propane tank. Costs less than 50 cents per hour to run at full capacity, but you don’t need that. 1100 sq ft is toasty at setting 2.
