Not bad for neck and shoulder problems
I suffer from some physical problems in my upper extremities, due to a bad car accident almost 2 years ago. I have gone through a few different heating pads, to help with the pain. Some have been too small, some have been not designed to hit all the painful spots, and some never got hot enough.This one hits all the right spots, is just a “little” too small for me (I am not a small man), and the heat output could be a little higher, but other than that, this is good.Amount of time is good. Ease of use is very high. I use this while I am teaching, as I am a remote teacher, so I can use it while giving my lectures. It works quite well.It is pretty soft, not cashmere soft, but pretty soft. No real complaints there about it.I have only used it for dry heat so far. I never feel comfortable using an electric heating pad for moist heat, due to that whole electricity and water thing. But, it is rated and designed for it, I just have never felt comfortable to do it.As I said, this gets all the important parts for me, that are painful, in the upper area. It would be absolutely perfect if it was bigger, and hit my mid and lower back, as well. But, nothing in the world is perfect.

the weighted beads are ONLY around the rim
This if false advertising in product listing : The heat-retaining ceramic beads send safe, far infrared wavelengths below the skinâs…. blah blah. This is their claim to infared yet the glass beads are not located throughout, that would support the product claim –and have a nice feel and weight. Where are the beads? only and exactly on the rim/edges. this is evident bec. we can feel and hear the crunch of the beads only there.A second discontention is no staff answers their 800 phone line (tried 3 separate times), nor email. Jeez so we consumers CANT at all count on this SELLER to back a warrenty.

Nice indeed with one important caveat
Very nice indeed and the cover material has a nice soft feel. Pop right out of the box and plug in. If you think the HOT setting isn’t hot enough, make SURE you have it on the CORRECT side: the side WITHOUT WAVES should be FACING your body and the waves AWAY. The only issue is annoying as it was an easy fix: you can connect the two halves of the collar ONLY by magnets at the very tip. This is really nice, but had they put in a few more magnets or a larger one I could have TIGHTENED it to hold the heat on the proper pain spot for my neck and this would, of course, allow such flexibility for others. As it is I keep pulling it up and tighter to get it to the precise spot. May have to pin or sew on a bit of Velcro to get the hot to the spot!
