    Dishwasher
Love this dishwasher! Very quiet, cleans great, lots of nice features

Flimsy dishwasher, does not include power cable
Had to edit this to 1 star (original review below this update) after 4 months this stupid dishwasher had a failed pump, failed control board, and a cracked hose which I’m told was a manufacturing defect by the repair guy. After 3 unsuccessful visits to my house and countless emails and calls to Sharp support they finally replaced it but wouldn’t pay for removal of the broken one and only paid $200 for install when the cheapest I could find was $250. I will never buy Sharp again!Original review belowThe Alexa features are a huge gimmick, had to get that out of the way first. The washer itself is really nice although it was a pain to install. It does NOT include a power cable, so you’ll need to purchase that separately. Fit and leveling was a real hassle , won’t be great for everyone but it cleans my dishes well and that’s the point, right?

    Easy Installation
I didn’t realize how poorly our current dishwasher cleaned the dishes until I installed and used this one. Feeling pretty bougie with the interior LED lights love the third tray my dishes come out, sparkling clean, feeling spoiled with the heated dry cycle. Haven’t had it very long but so far I love it. Amazon was significantly cheaper than Lowe’s or Home Depot. Only con is I’m having an issue clearing the memory and then restarting a new cycle at this point. I’m gonna chalk it up to user error.

    Sooooo quiet
I recently installed this in my small (1165sf) house. I decided in my last house that a high-end dishwasher is appropriate in a small house because there is no place to hide from the noise. I have trouble knowing if it’s running because the sound is typically covered up by the refrigerator! Aah!I’m not a plumber that’s installed hundreds of dishwashers, but I’ve dealt with a few. A really weird thing to me is that the water and power are supplied at the front, the water on the left, and the power on the right. I had to run the water all the way to the front of the cabinet under my sink and through a hole in the bottom of the cabinet. The water hose is not visible unless you decide to crawl around on the floor, but it could be a problem if you need to bring the water in from the right. The power cord can be run through a channel underneath the dishwasher.I had understood that most newer dishwashers come with a normal power plug, but this one didn’t. I bought amazon’s superduper interplanetary universal installation kit, which included a cord with plug but no strain relief for the cord. So… trip to Big Box.I’m a bit iffy on the third shelve. seems cool but I might remove it.

    Life changing
This dishwasher is worth every cent!I no longer have to rinse my dishes. I put them in dirty and they come out sparkling clean! It’s life changing!I love opening the door and the light coming on. I love the third shelf on top for knives and large serving utensils. It’s so quiet, I have gone into the kitchen to see if it is still working. Not having to pre-rinse saves water and time.It comes with a hose, but no electrical cord. Amazon recommends a kit to solve this problem.I’m glad I took the chance on it. Totally worth it!

DISASTER!! Waste of time and money.
This dishwasher is a total and complete disaster. Cannot stop and reset. The controls are horrible, the instruction manual is a joke (does not even address the basics) and the unit does not work as stated. You can hold the reset all you want, but nothing will happen. It’s like whoever desgined this nightmare was obsessed with a one hour delay because 1H never stops flashing. Technical trash.Ran the cycle with a few dishes and when the dishwasher finished (after one hour) everything was still wet. Did not dry at all.Furthermore the photos posted in the reviews are NOT correct. That is another model without a handle. We are beyond disappointed by this purchase as we are now out the cost of professional installation plus the installation kit we purchased.Currently in the process of removal and return. Grateful for Amazon customer service.

Doesn’t clean dishes well, flimsy, poorly designed racks
This dishwasher does not really clean dishes very well. I purchased it as a replacement for a GE Dishwasher. It runs through the wash cycle on heavy duty but the majority of the dishes have baked on food particles on some surfaces and the heat dry function doesn’t do a good job of drying the dishes. The dish racks are poorly designed in a way that makes loading dishes unnecessarily difficult. The top-level rack for flatware is not as useful as expected because the items put there are barely cleaned at all. One small positive is that this Sharp dishwasher is quieter that the GE.

    New dishwasher
Instructions are somewhat vague about digital controls. Especially for older people with limited digital skills and knowledge. Otherwise, I believe will be a great resource once we figure out how all of the controls work.
