Not intuitive install or use
First the good. It cleans dishes well and is very quiet. Really that’s what you want out of a dishwasher and it does it pretty darn well.The design/engineering on the other hand is not at all intuitive or easy. The installation instructions make IKEA look good. Diagrams do not accurately describe or show the steps. Very frustrating lack of clarity and I am a very capable person. Fittings are not standard for the water line which required 2 trips to solve the right adapters. After install, height needs to be carefully adjusted so the door front doesn’t hit the hinge when opening. Very finicky.And then there are the controls. I challenge anyone to be able to operate the dishwasher without reading the manual. It should not be that hard. It is easy enough once you know how, but really should be more intuitive. Power, start, close… that should be it. Also, let’s talk about the buttons. The start button you actually push, but the other ones you have to touch just along the top inside edge to activate. What?Bottom line is it does work well, but if you are installing it where other users may need to operate it in the future like a vacation rental expect calls asking how to use the damn dishwasher.

Pretty but unreliable
I installed this unit in a rental condo as the fit was perfect and I could customize the panel to match cabinetry. From that standpoint it was great. However this d/w has been nothing but trouble. Poorly written manual, with confusing operating controls is one thing. But I get error messages constantly which require the entire unit to be removed so you can reset some cheap micro switch located deep within the unit. Itâs terrible. I wish I never bought this unit. I would have rather spent double the price for a Samsung.

Not a good quality dishwasher
Harde to install, the buttons and control system literally take an hour to figure out what button does what and constantly resets to the “delay” setting. We put this in a rental property and it has been complained about by every single guest.

Stay away from Z Line!!
Terrible company and appliance. We canât attach the door panel because it came with the wrong screws. I called and emailed multiple times before being able to talk to a person. I was promised new parts would be mailed within two days, but that was a week ago. We really canât use in the meantime, because you need the weight of the door panel to hold the door open. It takes two to load it!! Plus, the design is crazy. The delay button is at the top and you canât help but press it when you open and close the doorâevery time. Then you have to cycle through to 24 hours to start it. Itâs a major pain. I absolutely would NOT recommend this DW. Buy a Miele or Bosch.
